I've seen so many great bands live in my short time here so far, and i can't be more thankful for that. Inspiration is hard to come by, but i've met people who've helped me in developing myself greatly this past year. I've also noticed people that were already there a lot more, and i'm more thankful to them than any others.
Blogging everyday is a bore, once every now and then is more fun for me. I finish University in a matter of weeks, then i've got to head out into the world. Me and Taz are moving away, and looking for others to join us, we don't like it here in weston anymore. I'm bored here, and everything's starting to grow stale.
I'm 1lb under 13 stone, my target weight at the gym, so that's developing greatly. I've played a solo gig, just me and my guitar, for the first time ever! It was one of the best, if not short, things i've experienced. I'm settling into who i want to be. My friend Ross was telling me about problems he's been having with people recently, and just listening, and offering a few short words of comfort and advice made me realise how much i actually cherish the people i choose to spend time with. If i don't make an outward attempt to spend time with someone, i don't really consider them important to me. The ones who matter are the ones you can see every now and then, and still enjoy the time you spend with them. Ross is one of those few to me, even if he is a crackhead.
Jo, Tarrant, Vicki, James, Dan, Gabby, Ross, GeGe, Luke etc..
Or something along those lines anyway!

Mothers day!
Today was mothers day! And i have eight minutes to write this entry before the video i'm editing finishes bouncing out! I've decided that i'm not going to do this everyday from now on. I'm not stopping the blog, just will be updating it every few days instead. This way i don't have to rush posts and feel like i'm just typing aimlessly for twenty minutes. PLUS it gives me more time in the evenings to do things. Nice things.
Yesterday was the day of Taz's birthday celebrations! And believe me, they were fucking good.
Taz and James picked me up around sevenish to go back to Taz's for some pre-drinks before heading out in to town. We drank various spirits mixed with coke, and raced eachother on motorbikes for a good few hours before another of Taz's friends, Ollie showed up. We left about an hour later, to get to The Dragon! This is where the serious drinking began, and by twelve o'clock Taz was in the bathroom chucking his guts up all over the floor hahahaha. Me and dan spent a few minutes consoling him before carrying him outside, and ultimately to Tesco so his dad could pick him up. Happy birthday Taz! haha.
The rest of the night was standard fare really, plenty of drinking and dancing in DB's, then some heated arguments between a couple we were out with, which i was too heavily involved with for my own liking. But whatever, got home at four, and slept through to eleven this morning. Didn't even feel the effects of the clocks going forwards either which was a positive!
When i eventually got downstairs i handed over the mothers day gifts and spent a few hours with my mumma! Then did some gardening for her, ripping up tree stumps so she could dig out the roots and stuff.
Also headed round Jo's for half an hour to see her before she headed back to Cardiff. I had a wonderful friday evening with her!

OH LOOK, another missed day.
I don't even give a shit. I went to uni yesterday, then Taz came back to mine. We listened to records and drank all night.
TODAY WAS EXCITING. Mammoth had their first jam since October last year. Now this is HUGE news. We have written a new song, and are panning en E.P. VERY exciting.
Off to see my baby tonight, she's home, exciting also!

I'm an extremely jealous person.
Sometimes that is. Not in every aspect of life, but when i see people involved with others, and i don't like it, i can flip my shit. People have called me intimidating, and i don't see it, but whatever, i guess having people afraid to wind me up is a good thing because they won't actually do it. I like to think that i'm a chilled out guy, which i am in most cases. Everyone has those days though.
Today was pretty standard, minus one part. TAZ GAVE ME A LIFT TO UNI. Yeah, that's right, the bastard is driving now, and it's awesome. He got to mine around eleven this morning, and pulled up in his gay little Ford KA. Pretty much a hairdressers car, but still more than i have so congrats to him. He also received some great news yesterday, which i'm not going to share, but i'm extremely happy for him. We zoomed off towards uni, laughing and listening to music. I wasn't nervous at all which is a good sign that he's a natural driver! Hopefully i'll be as confident the first time i drive a car alone haha.
At uni i finished off the final mix of a song for a girl called Danni. She had a song recorded at Modern World Studios, and i ended up doing the post production on it! It's turned out great, and has been one of the more ambitious mixing challenges i've taken on, all worth it though. After that i did a bit more work on the website me and taz are making, and then headed off to work!
Work was pretty standard, a small delivery tonight! We were done by nine, so me and Dan spent the last half hour tidying up the canteen and listening to music hahah.
Got home at ten and had spaghetti and meatballs for tea. They were wonderful. Now gonna finish this and watch the last episode of the first season of Vikings! Sweeeet.

YES.
I missed ANOTHER day yesterday, with good reason! Yesterday was Taz's birthday, and for it this year we went to Bristol with James to watch Metronomy at the o2 Academy! I managed to get the day off work, which was great. We headed up together on the bus at around five, and arrived in Bristol around sixish. The gig started at seven, but Taz wasn't so bothered about seeing the support act, so we decided it was best to go and drink. Taz wanted to go to The Apple, which is a cider boat bar on the river, so off we headed!
The Apple's great, they sell locally made ciders, usually ridiculously high in alcohol percentage, for crazy low student prices. I drank "Old Bristolian" all night, which on a student price was £1 a half! And seeing as this stuff is 8.4%, a few of those got me going nicely. Once we got to the gig, at around half past eight, we slithered through the crowd to the side and settled down for the show. The band themselves were great, but unfortunately it really isn't my kind of music. I had a good time though, and so did Taz, which was the main thing!
Today was all about work again! Tuesdays are work days. I started a little later today at one, which was a bit strange, but it looks like it's going to be a permanent change, so i better not complain eh? Nothing that interesting happened at work, it was just another normal day.
Had chili con carne for dinner! Was fantastic, and smothered in cheese, which probably helped make it ten times better. Now typing this out, and afterwards i'm going to watch some more of the t.v series called "Vikings". Basically, it's about vikings funnily enough haha, but it's a great show so far, so will definitely keep up with it!

GUH.
I hate the world today.
I've spent all day mixing, which was great, but now i'm tired, frustrated and importantly poor. I'm fed up of being at uni, and already fed up of this blog post so yeah, this is it haha.
Metronomy tomorrow in Bristol, it should be a better day.

It's been a jam packed day!
I missed another day yesterday, unfortunately. This was due to me being out all day,and then going out in the evening! I'll catch you up on my friday quickly...
I got in to uni around about half past eight in the morning. Went straight in to the studio and set up a vocal mic to do some recordings later on. For a few hours though i took advantage of the empty studio and did some mixing of material i need to catch up. I only spent two hours on the drums... Nearly had a headache by the end of the mix, but it was worth it to use some decent monitors. After the mixing i recorded vocals for Kane on his track that was recorded at St. Georges hall in bristol. The track features a string quartet, so will be fun to mix! After Kane, Iain was back in the studio adding more final touches to the album recording. One of the songs features a rap section, so we recorded a local guy called Ricky over a few verses, and it worked surprisingly well! After all the studio work me and Josh decided to go to All Stars to play some pool and have a few beers! This turned in to us going out, and that's how the night started hah! We went to watch Saffron Monkey, possibly the best band in weston, and then hit the clubs!
This morning i was surprisingly fresh, especially after the amount of alcohol i consumed... Today James came over to work out some parts he can play when he supports me at the upcoming gig. He's playing bass and percussion, at the same time. It's pretty awesome, but so's James so there's no surprise there. After the jam sesh we had pizza, drank rum, and watched The Big Lebowski. SUCH A GOOD FILM. The Coen Brothers are a real talent. Although i have noticed, after watching a few Coen Brothers films recently, they don't tend to have a real plot/point to them. This doesn't make them bad films, it's just an observation!

IT WAS A PRODUCTIVE DAY!
Today was a day of non stop productive-ness! I did loads of video shooting today, which consisted of promo of my friends Ross and Adams band called Scourge Of Impalement. They're an extremely heavy metal band based locally, and my god are they AWESOME.
So this morning i woke up, had my breakfast and made some lunch, knowing that i was going to be out all day. Got into uni at around twelve, and dived straight in to setting up cameras and filming the days events. It was good fun hanging out with the band, and may have secured some future work from them because of my performance today! Which of course is good news!
Once i was done with those guys i headed into one of the studios on the top floor of uni, and found my friend James recording an E.P with another great local band called Pembleton. Proper old school punk/new age punk. I sat in with them while they did some guitar tracking, and it was really fun to see how they work! They're all good guys, and like to wind each other up consistently haha.
Ross also showed me a demo for a doom project we're thinking of starting! Lets just say, it'll make you feel evil once it's done!
After the day of filming, editing, and making sure i got credit for said filming, i got home and instantly picked up my guitar. I was stressed out by the end of today, and needed to vent some anger. I wasn't stressed with anyone in particular, just managed to get myself into a bad mood. I lost the bracelet Jo bought for me yesterday, and that REALLY fucked me off for a while. Luckily it wasn't the ring she bought me last year, if i lost that i would have been devastated seeing as it never leaves my finger!
Typing this entry to King Creosote's album; That Might Well Be It, Darling. This is his latest release, and is the first time i've listened to it! It's really good fun, and has some great guest musicians on it! Highly recommended so far!

Today was a better day!
Today has been super busy! I got up this morning around eight, packed my bag for the gym, then had my light breakfast of protein and bananas. Shortly after i was picked up by Karn, who yesterday kindly offered to give me a lift down to the gym! He's becoming a really good friend t be honest, and he's one of the better people i know.
At the gym it was all about the biceps, shoulders, and chest today! I've always had skinny arms, so i superset my biceps when i work them, it seems to be the only way i can get results! There were a few newbies at the gym today too. I don't like to think of myself as a gym veteran, but i do cringe when i see new guys lift. But then again i was like that last year, so i keep my mouth shut. When ever i work out, i don't actually listen to music. I've tried it, and i find it too distracting. I start to bob my head along to whatever i'm listening too at that moment, and lose focus on the set. This raises the issue of being able to hear what others are saying in the gym. Most of the time i can tolerate it, because all the regular guys down there keep to themselves and focus on what they're doing. But there were two ass-holes there today who just wouldn't shut the fuck up. The gym is for working out, not to talk about you hurting your back when you "punched that guys lights out", you gollum fuck.
Anyway, after a quick sauna and shower, i met back up with Karn around eleven to play some pool! He beat me again, seven games to six, but it was fun all the same! He then dropped me off at uni, where i learnt about Hans Zimmer's use of samplers in Inception, and various video games. It was mildly interesting. I was also handed a Cajon at some point, which i'm borrowing for a few weeks from another guy called Matt! A Cajon is an acoustic percussion box, with a snare resting on one side to make an interesting percussive sound! I need this for the upcoming gig i have. It is the first time i will be playing solo! Yes. I AM PLAYING A GIG WITH MY OWN MUSIC. Exciting/frightening stuff!
I had work today as well, but it is my last day of work for the week, which is a bonus! The delivery shift went swiftly, and we left on time which was good!
Now writing this in bed while waiting for a video edit to bounce out on my mac. The video is part of a webseries i'm doing, which is focusing on the process of making an album! I'm having fun with it, and i'm using these videos for my final portfolio this year with uni!
Been listening to some old band stuff while writing this. There's talk that Mammoth may return soon, we shall see.

It's been a long day.
Just a quick side note! I forgot my entry yesterday! Yes, the first time it's happened... I don't really have an excuse, i was tired and plain forgot about it, simple. Yesterday wasn't that memorable of a day anyhow. I was in the studio most of the day doing percussion parts for an album that me and Taz are recording, more on this later. Also me and Dan did some dead-lifts at work, they were about the most exciting parts haha.
Today is tuesday, tuesday is my work day. I wake up, get to work by half past twelve, and slave on for eight hours! Breakfast was plain and simple, protein shake and peanut butter on toast. Karn picked me up at quarter to twelve and then we headed to work! My shift today was full of moving around parts of the store, and reorganising them to make them look "visually pleasing". I mean fucking hell, you actually think that just because I arranged some reams of paper in an interesting pyramid formation, people are more likely to buy it?!? Ridiculous notions, but still, I went ahead and did all the little things i've done today so i can earn my wage! Pay day is coming up next friday! And i can't wait to be honest, i seriously lack money at the moment...
After work i had my dinner, which was STEAK and peppercorn sauce. A real mans meal! Now i'm just writing up this quickly and looking for a new film to watch.
I realise these posts are getting shorter, this is just how they're going to be on mundane days unfortunately. I find it hard trying to make an average day interesting to read about!
I miss Jo as well, distance is hard.
While typing this out i'm listening to Cult Of Occult; I Hate You. Cult are a doom/sludge/stoner band, and are a recent discovery of mine thanks to my friend Ross! Really going through a doom stage at the moment, so much so that me and Ross are planning something epic! Again, more on that later...

Another lazy sunday!
Today was the day of the dreaded staff meeting, so obviously i spent as much of the day as i could in bed avoiding the prospect of that. I eventually got up at eleven. Had a relatively small breakfast of a protein shake, and a banana. Didn't need much else due to the lack of energy i needed haha. I milled around tidying my room, and doing other things that seemed to be reserved or sundays. You know, doing your laundry, dusting, listening to music, playing guitar, the usual stuff. Then made myself epic chicken and mayo sandwiches! They were so good that I felt dirty afterwords.
After the afternoons antics I headed in to work for the staff meeting. It was the first time i've been to one for about a year, and it was as boring as I was expecting... We all sat around a whiteboard to get a gay ass presentation from our CPC specialist. Sorry if your reading Luke, but it was shit mate, up your game. After the meeting though me, Karn, and Mikey headed down to All Stars to play some pool!
Now when you bring Mikey along to play pool, you expect him to be on the table most of the night, and maybe get a cheeky win over him every now and then. NOPE. Tonight Mikey decided to play like a fucking monster, but seeing as his cup final is coming up on saturday i can let him off. I did beat him once mind, after some tricky shots, and lucky covering shots haha. Karn won one game i think, but to be honest he did mainly play Mikey all night. We finished the session with a few rounds of killer, which was great fun! Definitely go down as the three of us again soon hopefully!
Got home, had dinner, now typing this up while listening to Mumford & Sons' second album; Babel. LOVE this band, they're sort of my guilty pleasure. I saw them in London last year with Jo, and it's one of the best gigs i've been to so far! This bands first album really captured my imagination when I was younger, this one was definitely not a disappointment when it was finally released!
It's back to work tomorrow, but after a day in the studio with Iain Eccleston and The Blue Horizon guys! Will give details tomorrow!

Another great day!
Spent all day today with my baby in Cardiff! We decided today was too nice to not go out and do something, SO WE WENT ROUND A CASTLE. Cardiff castle to be exact. We got up at around eleven o'clock, washed etc. Then I had an instant pasta pot snack thing for breakfast which was interesting... THEN we headed off to the castle! Here are loads of photos;

I loved this tree.
The castle grounds!
Spooky underground tunnels...
Spooky Jo in spooky underground tunnels...
I learnt that Jo can't take a photo to save her life today!
I also Dressed up as an army guy. YEAH.
The great hall of the house on the grounds.
Inside the main keep!
A sexy fireplace in the house.
The houses library, which i wasn't allowed to look around. *sadface*
Jo played dress up too!
Although i look better in it!
She did rock this German coat/Russian hat combo though!
On top of the keep! Jo didn't like it, so we snapped this quickly...
Yes that is a big gun i'm playing on.
The outside of the big house!
This ceiling was in a room called the "Arab room". Was fucking gorgeous in person.
Jo said this would be fun. It was!
The main keep! Looks awesome.
OMG CASTLE!
I'm a fucking German officer here for some reason...
So yeah! The castle was awesome! We said we'd do it one day i was up, and today was obviously the day! I love castles, and national trust places, and general places of a historical theme! And luckily enough Jo likes them too! (Or says she does, which is good enough for me)
After the castle we headed out into the city, and didn't want to head back to hers just yet. So we walked back through some of the arcades dotted around, and found a tea shop that we liked the look of from my last visit! We headed in, ordered our drinks and sat down in amazing wingbacks! Jo had a coconut milkshake;
And i had a cafetiere of coffee all to myself;
It was a really nice day! Definitely made the most the short time i had this weekend!
We headed back to Jo's place after the coffee and milkshakes, and chilled out for the last few hours we had together this weekend. I had to come back early due to a staff meeting tomorrow at work! Boo.
I left Jo's at half five, and got to the train station to find the whole placed sectioned off like a prisoner of war camp! I'd forgotten about the trouble the game in Cardiff would cause today. By the way well done to Ireland for winning the Six Nations this year! Thoroughly deserved, and a great way for O'Driscoll to finish off his international career! But yeah, the scene outside of the train station was manic, so i hopped over one of the fences and jumped on to a train to London, which luckily stopped in Bristol! If i hadn't done that i probably would have waited around for a couple of hours, so the slight evasion of security was definitely worth it, NOT THAT I ENCOURAGE THAT.
Arrived home to find my mum had cooked me corned beed hash! Which was amazing. I'd never had it before, and now i want more, so it was probably a success haha.
Played a bit of guitar as well, taking a break to type this up, and then might stick on a movie! While typing this i'm listening to Kanye West's first album; College Dropout. Getting in to hip-hop at the moment, and as a general rule I HATE Kanye West. But this album is fantastic, so is recommended by me if you fancy a lil' bit of an OG soundtrack to your evening!

Today has been lovely.
This is going to be an extremely short post, because i'm back in Cardiff with Jo for the night, and want to spend as much as my time with her that I can! I'll talk about last night in tomorrows post, when I have more time to vent thoughts properly.
Me and Jo did go for a nice walk tonight through Bute Park earlier though!

Like I said, tomorrow will be longer! It's now time for more bad 90's rom-roms!

A HALF DAY.
Writing this early today because I am yet again heading out into town this evening! Currently sat in uni, working with Taz on our website we're trying to make. Spending an hour an a half battling with photoshop to try and make some fucking logos was actually surprisingly fun! We've settled on some of the visual aspects of the website, but we're now trying to get everything formatted correctly which is a pain.
Once this is done we're heading back to Taz's to do our radio show! Both of our combined playlists have given us plenty of stuff to choose from, so eclectic is definitely the word for tonights show! We're gonna be drinking while doing the show, so if you do listen then expect some serious degradation hahah.
THEN IT'S TIME FOR GROUNDHOG DAY AT LOVES CAFE, our favourite cafe in Weston i'd say. They hold film nights every week, and this week it's the Bill Murray classic Groundhog Day! Then after, it's The Dragon Inn and DB's!! Standard thursday night it seems!
Short entry today, listening to Marmaduke Duke; Je Suis Un Funky Homme while typing this out. Taz's i-tunes is interesting to say the least...

TODAY WAS FUN.
I feel like today was actually a fucking good one, and i'm in such a good mood this evening because of it!! Managed to get my ass out of bed this morning and get to the gym before uni! It was back, triceps, and LEGS day. I hate leg days. Legs are one of those things where you have to do them, otherwise the top of your body can get all swole, and the bottom can look like match sticks. I have thin arms and legs anyway, so skipping leg day is a huge no no. I had a banana and a protein shake for breakfast, then made myself some lunch to eat at uni.
Got to the gym at around one, got changed and began the onslaught. Did supersets on the back, and then moved on to the triceps, before finishing on legs. Spent a good ten minutes stretching out at the end which helped me last the rest of the day I think haha! Hit the showers (didn't have time for the sauna today!!) and then headed to the bus stop to get to uni!
I saw Taz, Adam, and Reuben when I got off the bus so I walked in with them. Once I was sat down and demolishing my chicken and mayo sandwich the lecture kicked up. This week it was creating music for video games, something that didn't really interest me that much. The final part was interesting, about placing sound in a 3D field, and being able to move around a sound to affect it's volume and stereo position! Apart from that though it was a real mind numbing hour. At the end of the lecture I got my marks for last terms work! All 2:1's, which i'm extremely happy with, and sets me up for good overall mark at the end of this year!
Had work today as well, and it was actually the most fun part of the day!! Four pallets were delivered for me and Dan to work on, which is a tiny delivery! We took it easy, finished well within time, and decided to set a challenge for ourselves. Dan is also a fitness nut, prides himself on his strength and overall manliness, so it's a shame that I BEAT HIM AGAIN. YEAH BOY, I KNOW YOU'RE READING THIS, AND I KNOW YOU CAN'T STAND THE FACT I WON. HAHAHAHAHAHA. But yeah, on our tidy up this evening we decided to do ten pushups at the end of every aisle. This was a total of one hundred and sixty pushups, in bursts of ten. Sounds relatively easy right? NOPE. Towards the end, we decided to do a special set of military style knuckle pushups. It was here that dan failed, and I was victorious! There's always next week eh Dan?
Got home at ten, had some ribs for dinner, and compiled together a bunch of music for mine and Taz's radio show tomorrow night! For the rest of the night i'm thinking of sticking a film on in bed, we'll see!
While writing this entry I was listening too Peace; 1998. If psychedelic delays, sixties style vocals, and crunchy drums are your thing check these guys out! They got pretty big last year, and have kind of faded from the public eye, but this tune has one of the best build sections I know of in music, so HIGHLY recommended!!

Another long day!
And another run of the mill one. I ADMIT IT, I was lazy today and didn't actually go to the gym... SADFACE. All that means is that I have to go two days in a row which will cause my body all sorts of pain, due to the intensity of said workouts. BUT MEH. I got up around half ten this morning, had a strange breakfast of ham and chili cream cheese sandwiches. It actually tasted quite good! Then it was the usual shower etc, but I was lazy and didn't do anything with my hair so I had the biggest cow lick all day ahahah.
Got to the bus stop at twenty past eleven, got on to the bus at half past. Pretty standard commute today, nothing funny or interesting really happened! Saw a girl I thought I recognised, but I think she just looked like someone I know. I can't really go up to women in public places and ask "HEY, do I know you!??!", especially in an environment as cramped as a bus... She was wearing a denim jacket and had snow boots on, no idea why she's so vivid in my mind, and to be honest I don't really care. Made my usual walk to work and got there at about twenty past twelve! And then the LOOOOONG day started.
I work eight hours on tuesdays, with only one break usually. If i'm cheeky I can take three, but there are so few people in the store staff wise I don't really feel like I can. I did today though, mwahahah. Was annoying Gabby all day today, she obviously didn't care too much though due to her giving me her popcorn chicken again. THE SUPPLIER OF PROTEIN FOR ME AT WORK IS GABBY. Amazing.
Once I was home from the evil shift, I had my dinner and then did my metal radio show! It was awesome to do, even though I only had one listener at the end haha! Will be doing a joint one with Taz this thursday before we head out into town! Should be fun, and a real eclectic mix of music!! Now i'm just writing this out and trying to decide what I should do for the rest of the night. I came up with a new song idea earlier so I may work on that until I pass out!
Was listening to Bon Iver's first album; For Emma, Forever Ago while typing this! One of my all time favourite albums, and Justin Vernon, to this day, remains one of my largest influences in life and music. Going to spend the next few days listening to the discog of Bon Iver I think!

Today was tiring.
Getting up and going after a weekend of not sleeping much is a lot harder than you might think. I mean, I didn't even have a lack of sleep over the last few days, i'm just feeling really tired! I managed to get out of bed around ten o'clock this morning though, had a huge breakfast of eggs and protein shakes before doing my bit of stretching/yoga to wake up the body, then have my usual forty minute monday shower! Hugely easy morning haha!
Had a few missed calls off my friend Karn who I work with talking about all sorts of pool plans! So after lunch, he came to pick me up about two in the afternoon to head to All Stars sports bar! This was the first time I got to try out my dads old cue that he gave me yesterday, and I wasn't disappointed to be honest! The things over twenty years old, and the main joining pin is wooden which apparently isn't that popular of a choice these days. After a bit of internet searching i've found that this style of cue is heavily used in a billiards game called carom! Not commonly played in the UK, but is popular in the middle east etc. Either way, the cue was great, but didn't quite give me the edge over Karn! He beat me today 9 frames to 7 if I remember correctly! We'll be back next monday though to see if I can kick his ass haha.
After the pool it was time for work, WOO! I work in the local Staples branch and, to be honest, I can't really complain all that much. I work delivery shifts mainly, so it's physical work, but it helps to move the time along faster. On these shifts I usually work with the same group of people, Dan, Gabby, Sam, Sally etc. And due to us all getting on, the shifts go easily and we always finish on time. UNLESS we spend an hour opening up twenty packs of Pepsi Max cans, before the guy who told us to do it says he actually made a mistake and we SHOULDN'T have done it... Great hour wasted there!
I finished work tonight at half nine as usual, then headed home for my home cooked tea by my mum. I haven't actually mentioned my home life yet so i'll give a brief overview. I live at home with my mum and my older sister. My dad walked out when I was twelve I think, i'm not exactly sure on the year so i'll say this age because I had just started secondary school. He left to go off with another woman, who he is now happily married too and has two beautiful children with, my half brother Sebastian, and my half sister Isabella. I held him leaving against him for a long time, but when I reached the age of seventeen I sort of realised that I only get one dad, and even though he went about his actions in the completely wrong way, he did what was right for him. Obviously my relationship with my dad is nowhere near as close as the relationship I have with my mum. I'm a mummy's boy really, always will be! I love my mum just like every non bastard child does, and i'm lucky enough to always have her listen, support, and care for me. My sister is twenty four and still living at home. She'll still be here when she's thirty at this rate, but I still love the slag and will always look after her!
After my dinner I didn't really do much. I lazed around downstairs playing Mario Tennis Open on my 3DSxl, and now have just got in to bed to type this shit out and watch the new 300 film online! My late evening is definitely sorted!
Early start tomorrow, hit the gym at ten before heading off to work all day at half twelve! And then i'm gonna attempt my second radio show! This one's gonna be fucking heavy i'm telling you haha!
No music AGAIN tonight, sat in bed on my laptop so not really a surprise there seeming as i don't keep my music on here! Oh well...

TODAY WAS A FUN DAY!
Was still in Cardiff this morning! Had a lengthy lie in with Jo after watching the Hunger Games last night, then semi-rushed around to get ready in time for her parents to arrive! It was nice to see them as well, we went for lunch in the centre of town and then did a little bit of wandering around the shops! Both me and Jo's dad tried this really weird pale ale from America called Shipyard i think. Smelt and tasted like nectarines, or some kind of citrus fruit. Never the less it went really well with my chicken club sandwich so meh.
The rugby today kicked off at three, so as soon as it did i had it up on my phone streaming. BIG game today, like i mentioned in yesterdays entry. After changing the ink in Jo's printer for her, and saying a long goodbye, i climbed into the back of her parents car and set off home! All the way back we had the game on the radio, while i streamed it on my phone. GLAD TO SAY ENGLAND WON. It was kind of expected of them to do so, due to Wales not really being in form at the moment, there were still some tense moments though!
After getting home i went round my dads to have a quick catch up, and pick up his old pool cue from him! I haven't seen my dad for a few months, so it was nice to sit down and chat. I don't really see him much at the moment because of the lack of time i have. Luckily it's the kind of relationship we have so not a lot of damage is done by not seeing each other, all that was done a long time ago haha! YAY for parent issues... I was picking up the pool cue because i've started playing a bit more recently! Me and a few guys from work have played a couple of times, and i'm enjoying it! It's giving me something else to get out of bed for as well which is never a bad thing!!
I'm about to play a bit of guitar before i hit the hay tonight! Obviously didn't get to play all weekend, so i'll make up for that now!
While writing this entry i was listening to my friend Taz streaming on mixlr! Essentially it's an audio streaming website where you can put on mini radio shows to anyone who cares to listen! It's pretty nifty, and i gave it a go earlier on! I really enjoyed doing it, so that's another thing to do weekly!! Taz has been playing all sorts of singer songwriter stuff, so it's pretty chilled which is nice. One track he played was James Vincent McMorrow; Red Dust. This track's off of his latest album called Post Tropical, and has some INSANE songs on. A really beautifully written album, well worth checking out!

It's been a long day!
Which is by no means a bad thing. I've spent my long day with Josephine, so i'm grateful for the feeling of extra time. We were both complaining about the size of her bed here at uni last night, which is actually the first time we've really noticed it. Apparently according to Jo, because I don't remember this, I moaned about being uncomfortable and then instantly fell asleep, which sounds about right for me ahha! I've never really had a problem sleeping where ever I am, as long as it's dark in my chosen crashing spot. I am looking forward to her having a double bed next year though!
So we had a long lie in this morning, followed by being made pancakes by Jo's flatmate OJ. OJ's from Bristol, can be extremely loud at times, and looks after my baby when i'm not around. She also makes kickass pancakes so she definitely gets my approval haha. Me and Jo then headed in to town to sort out some banking that she had to do, then went for a little wander around the city! We found some awesome vintage clothing shops in a few of the arcades dotted around the place, and also found ourselves in the charity shops! I'm in search now for a denim jacket for myself because of Jo's recommendation, but it has to instantly grab me when I try it on. I found a few today that were pretty badass, but unfortunately weren't quite right, the search goes on... Jo also found herself one of the most amazing cupcakes I've ever seen! It was pretty much made entirely of white chocolate buttercream icing, also tasted pretty good!
We've had dinner, mainly consisting of potato wedges and various dips, along with pizza and chicken kievs. We've also watched crufts, because any excuse for Jo to watch dogs trotting around is a good one! We're about to settle down now, and watch The Hunger Games on dvd. Both myself and Jo love the series, we read the books together a few years ago now, and we still haven't seen the second film yet! So we're watching the first one again to make do until we see it!
Also a quick mention about the rugby today! I love rugby, have done since I was thirteen. I haven't played for years, but I still like to follow what's happening in the premiership and also the international tournaments. Me and my friend James have a bet going that either Ireland or Wales will win this year. I said Wales due to them having won it twice in a row, and he said Ireland due to them generally being the better team. I'm regretting this now, because it looks like i'm gonna have to fork out £10 which is never good. The game tomorrow, England vs. Wales, is going to be huge! But alas, I won't be able to watch it because Jo's parents are coming to visit and we're all going out for lunch. Definitely going to stream the score on my phone though haha. Also no music tonight! Just didn't bother to put any on, not gonna lie!

Today was a tender day...
As I mentioned in my previous post, I went out last night! Taz (my future Bristol roommate) came round my place after we finished uni to do the usual pre-drink/chat thing. Me and Taz always manage to find stuff to talk about, hence why he's one of my favourite people. We stuck on some records while we were drinking, first listening to my favourite album of last year; Black Milk - No Poison No Paradise. Was also nice to find out that it was a limited edition purple splatter disc copy, one sexy ass LP that one. Then we put on the COOLEST record I own; Dread Zeppelin - Un-led-ed from 1990. Essentially Led Zeppelin, but mixed with reggae, with Elvis inspired vocals! Funky as hell at points. Also worth noting that i've taken a sample from this record to use in a project i'm working on! More on that later... After the records we hit the Dragon Inn, which is probably my favourite pub in Weston-Super-Mare, where we met up with a few guys I work with. From that point onwards it was a pretty standard night out! We moved on to the Loft for super cheap drinks before hitting our main hangout on nights out, DB's. I lost Taz I think around three in the morning? Neither he or myself can remember haha... I was turfed out at half four, then I stumbled to the taxi rank to eventually get home and fall asleep on top of my clean laundry. Good times.
I eventually got up at midday today! Felt a little tender, so I sat for an hour in front of the tv drinking apple juice and groaning like a seal. After the usual post night out shit and shower however, I felt all dandy again. Left home at around two o'clock this afternoon to run down to the train station to get a train surprisingly! Was in a folky mood, so I stuck on The Tallest Man On Earth, Frank Turner, and James Vincent McMorrow for the journey. Arrived in Cardiff at half four, and was hugging my girlfriend ten minutes later!
Speaking of which, meet Jo! :

Obviously she's the attractive one on the right!! I'm in Cardiff for the weekend to visit my baby. She's here for uni studying law, and is much more intelligent than I am. Luckily she can't sing to save her life so we balance out pretty well! I didn't come up here and see her enough for her first term this year, which was my fault entirely. This term i'm doubling my efforts and spending as much time with her as I can. Otherwise I get all grumpy and no one wants that!!
We went out for a meal tonight at Ruby Tuesdays. Basically it's a TGI Friday's rip off, but the food was AMAZING. With each meal you get unlimited drink refills, and unlimited fries! I had ribs, men like ribs, so I had ribs. Jo had ribs too, and chicken, and shrimp. She's more manly than me when it comes to food sometimes haha.
We're not doing anything else big tonight, just going to spend our time together. No idea what we're going to do tomorrow except go to the bank, but i'm sure we'll find something!
Right now i'm listening to Hunger by the band LITE. Taz showed me this band, because he's all about math rock at the moment. They're a really cool Japanese project, and i'll be seeing them at ArcTanGent festival this year! Which is gonna be huuuuge! My summer is actually shaping up to be a good one this year! Anyway yeah, LITE are an awesome band, so anyone who wants to should definitely check out their latest full length called Installation!
Gonna go now, need another shit, and want to see my girlfriend!

It is a good day. My first blog post...
I don't really know why i'm starting this up. I guess one of the major reasons is that this year is my "transition" year. By that i mean that this year i will leave education, and move out in to the big bad world to start the rest of my life.
I'm currently twenty years old, live in a small town on the coast of the south west, and have a gorgeous girlfriend of almost three years! As mentioned earlier, i will be leaving university this year with a FdA in Music Production. Essentially one day i want to be a studio technician, but the more i think about it, the less drive i have for that particular career, we'll see...
Once uni is over, myself and a close friend are planning to move out of home, and in to a small flat in Bristol. This is where we have decided to try and make a name for ourselves in the music business, through gaining experience with musicians local to us, and being poor for a very, very, VERY long time. I've known this guy for eight years now, so who better to start the next part of my life with? Chances are he, along with other friends, will be heavily mentioned throughout this year, so you can learn more about him later. I mean we'll probably fuck up the whole living away from home thing, but who cares if we have some amazing stories haha!
The next part of my life worth mentioning is probably the best part of it, my girlfriend. I met her when i was seventeen, in my first year of college, sat at a table in the canteen on campus. We didn't speak to each other, so i don't think it really counts as a first "meeting", but i saw her, and instantly knew that i had to talk her. That evening i was speaking to a friend of mine, and asked who the girl sat opposite us was. He told me her name, i hit her up on Facebook, and we've spoken every single day since! It turned out, weirdly, that we lived quite literally down the road from each other. We were the same age, lived in the same village, and we had never met before! We still talk about that and find it funny, but anyway... We've travelled together, visiting France, Spain, Ireland, and Lanzarote. We enjoy going to music festivals together, and plan to live together one day, once she's out of education herself. The bottom line is, i love this girl, have done for a very long time, and want to for a lot, lot longer. She has enough patience to love me, i couldn't ask for more.
I play a lot of music myself with my trusty guitar, and sometimes with my bass if the opportunity arises. I enjoy drinking far too much, mainly for the social aspect, partially for the drunkenness. I eat far too much protein but hey, it's better than smoking full time, which i managed to quit doing this year!!!
I'm looking forwards to reading these entires back next year, if i stick with it that is. ALSO i'm going out tonight! So tomorrows entry should be entertaining!
